Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba
Made from Dolcetto grapes, this is one of the most widely-grown wines in the Alba area, with unmistakeable properties that are synonymous with quality and care
This wine takes its name from the small village of Diano d’Alba which is extended along a hill in the South part of Alba, at an altitude of nearly 500 meters.
Since 1988 the finest vineyard sites in the village have been identified with precision by the local wine producers with the name of Sörì, which means “sunny place” in the Piedmontese dialect (76 areas in all, entirely within the commune of Diano d’Alba).
Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba was awarded DOCG (Controlled and Guaranteed) status by Ministerial Decree dated 2nd August 2010, promulgated by the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policy (published in Offical Gazette n° 193 of 19th August 2010).
