Text by Luciano De Giacomi and Mariano Corino – prints by Francesco Bartolozzi ed. 1983 – Out of print

Unlike the usual monthly calendar, this Almanac lists dishes on a monthly basis (for the recipes it refers to ‘Nonna Genia’, which had been published the previous year), accompanied by historical and gastronomic notes. It is a kind of perpetual almanac, helping us to follow the seasons by preparing appropriate fare. The prints – dedicated to the months – are by Francesco Bartolozzi (Florence, 1728  -Lisbon, 1815), and can be dated to around 1750, when the artist had a studio in Venice.
